After graduating from Amagasaki Industrial High School, Shinji began working as a gem appraiser before moving into the fruit and vegetable distribution industry. He then went on to set up independent companies, starting with Trade Co. Ltd. (fruit trade and direct sales) in 2001 and Cruise Co. Ltd. (Fruit logistics) and Deal Co. Ltd. (fruit trade and sales) in 2002. In 2003, Shinji founded Prop Co. Ltd. (real estate management) and in 2006 he founded SPREAD Co. Ltd. (plant factory and vegetable production). Shinji is CEO of all five companies.
I am looking forward to finding partners interesting in developing plant factories both in Japan and abroad at the summit. I hope there will be opportunities to meet with investors, companies and organizations that can collaborate towards the development of a sustainable agriculture.
