After graduating from International Christian University, Lina was in charge of project finance and M&A at Fuji Bank and Deutsche Securities. She then became interested in fermentation technology and obtained a degree at the Department of Brewing and Fermenation Science, Tokyo University of Agriculture, in March 2009. In the same year, she founded Fermenstation Co., Ltd. Lina obtained the "Prize for Regional Innovation" at the 3rd DBJ New Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs. Fermenstation Co., Ltd. was the winning entry in the Community Contribution category at the 2014 British Business Awards.
We distribute fermented and distilled rice products made by domestic rice farmers to domestic and overseas shops. Through our efforts, we have enabled people from various backgrounds, such as rice farmers, former bank officials, government officials, and creative directors etc, to connect and develop common goals. I hope we can bring this momentum into AG/SUM and allow more people from different places to come up with interesting new developments.
