As an undergraduate at the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture Hiroto worked on automating agricultural machines. While studying for his masters he worked on climate change correspondence. After graduation, he worked as a consultant at PwC on the introduction of large-scale ICT systems. He produced web media at All About, web services at Livedoor and starting working independently in 2006 on business development in agriculture and ICT fields such as investigating the possibility of cultivating cotton in Cambodia funded by JICA. In 2013, he supervised projects as a project manager at M Square Labo. In 2014 he was appointed a director of Agriholdings. In 2015, to took part in PLANT DATA JAPAN. His interests lie in global food production platform businesses focused on plant biological information.
